So I just got dental surgery yesterday. Ahahahaha... getting one's wisdom teeth removed from one's gums is not a pleasant experience. But it's tolerable when I cram painkillers down my throat. Oxycodone truly is a wonderful invention (Thank you, turn-of-the-century German pharmacologists), even if it does make me have to retype things like a billion times because my fingers keep fumbling over the keys. The doctors said that it should stop hurting in a few days. Yeah, they also told me it would stop bleeding after two hours. It took about eleven, by the way.

So I tried out for The Alliance Theatre's production of "Beauty and the Beast". I did reasonably well, sang "Honey Bun" from South Pacific, and sounded like a raging lesbian :

Her hair is blond and curly,

I call her hips 'Twirly' and 'Whirly.'

She's my baby, I'm her pap!

I am caught and I don't wanna run,

But it makes sense within the context of the show, and I was mainly trying out for a guy part. Lefou, Gaston's little toady sidekick, but even that's aiming real, real high. I'd seriously just like to get a part, period. A lot of kids from my school have tried out, including the lovely ~accioalli. It'd so cool if we all got a part.

So, when I was out, the AP World finals took place. And apparently, a bunch of royal unitards decided to form a little cheating ring and cause the rest of the course's finals to be null and void. What really irritates me is that I have friends who have been studying nonstop for the past two weeks for this final. And then a group of morons goes and ruins it for them. SO. STUPID.

Good luck on your audition! I have another friend who tried out for a part, too! The... feather duster girl >_> Forgot her name! The French one!

And ARGHHHH!! I was one of the ones pulling all-nighters and writing practice essays D: D: D: Those three essays have my heart and soul in them! And they count for NOTHING!!

I'm getting wisdom teeth pulled on the 30th. (One we just learned actually exists beneath the gum, one might be saveable, and the other two are a must go.) =/ But if all goes well, I'll get out of my flute chair test, my spanish oral presentation, and my chorus concert. :XD:
I really hope you get that part. If not, I know you'll get something almost as good.

well neither amanda nor jason got called back, so i'm a little worried...
as for the AP thing, new rumors are flying, and if they prove to be true, i'll be a heck of a lot angrier at the teachers than at the kid. but i do agree, the sound of countless hours of preparation being washed away in a few moment-- well, it's not pleasant. :\

Ouch. Yeah, all of mine were beneath the gum, but they decided to pop those suckers right out instead of dealing with them later.

Did you get the anesthetics like I told you to? They are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I dunno why, but even though I was sleeping during the surgery, when I woke up I felt really happy and the first thing I said since my waking was "I want to do this again!". Yeah... And I didn't need pain medication. I only took it once on the day after but then I felt no pain. Just lots of bleeding. AND A LIQUID DIET OH GOD. I'm so sorry.

I love how there are happy smilies brushing their teeth while you have "DENTAL HELL" right between them.

And tbh, people shouldn't be pissed about the AP Final ruining thing if they're angry that they studied, because you could be studying for the AP Exam itself. Since apparently, the leaked test that the one student had... was a past AP Exam that his tutor gave him. So yeah, good practice. Though I understand if people are angry that they wanted to finish the finals on the 9th, thinking they did a great job on everything. That would be such a shitty feeling. Though, good practice for the AP Exams still.
